showers are there and (this is not sarcasm) they are normal european standard showers - turn tap for water (guess you could expect large differences in france from common, known things :) ) from a hygienist´s point of view: no need to worry, looked clean.

have fun who ever´s going! off to england and leeds festival tomorrow myself.

Hi, i'm 17 and going to this, i was just wondering if there are going to be age restrictions for under 18's etc? i'm just slightly confused and don't want to go all the way to paris to be told i can't get in.

First day wasn't bad. Weather was a bit spotty but the ground seemed to deal with it well. Sound is excellent on the two main stages. Only major complaint is the price of drink. 6 euro for beer is bad enough but 3 euro for water is almost criminal. At least I was allowed in with my platypus and there are taps hidden around the stages (hopefully drinkable... haven't got sick yet anyway). Wasn't that pushed about the lineup for Friday so music wise best for me was Kele.

Is this festival actually fun?

Because everyone seems to say there's issues with bringing beers in from outside.. And the crowd doesn't rock out...

Are there many young people there? Can you have a fire in the campsite?

Basically how is this in comparison to UK fests? Is it bad-ass like Reading? Or tame like V fest..

its very fun

the crowd doesnt go mental all the time..... but Qotsa last year was the best time ive seen them and the crowd were up for it!

no problems with bringing in booze.... even from camping to arena, i walked in about 8 times with 6 packs etc

no camp fires though

the two worst things ..... the rain last year spoiling arcade fires set! put a fecking roof on the main stage

and the amount of flyers thrown at you!

but free Ben and Jerrys last years was pretty good :P

oh and there was a blonde guitar hero xbox girl who got alot of attention

as long as your in camping you should be fine with booze

as you can just walk past the main enterance if you show your wristband.

we were always walking in with cans.

and then there are no checks when you go from camping to arena so twas easy

not sure if im going this year though, im leaning towards Pukklepop or Eurockenees (or how ever you spell it)

I'm undecided between Rock en Seine and Pukkelpop, the stories about hectic camping at Pukkelpop definitely has made me think twice. Rock En Seine is in Paris which is a plus (im going with my girlfriend), and there are plenty of hotels in Paris that we can stay in.

Has anyone got any other ideas for who will be playing? And just any general information about the festival? Any advice would be appreciated, I'd regularly new to festivals (I've been to Reading twice but no European ones) so need all the help I can get!

i went to ReS last year ... going to PP this year

but i would reccomend this fest. Camping is very small, i wouldnt recomend staying in a hotel though as i heard horror stories of the metro last year after the last bands.

but its a good little festival, easy to watch the bands.

clean as well and has a relaxed atmosphere, depending on the band playing that is

as for bands this year, i think one more headliner is to be announced. rumours are that its Daft Punk but i cant see that myself.

Thanks. What sort of stories did you hear? If they aren't too bad then I may end up taking a gamble on staying in a hotel as its probably far more convienent, gonna try and see as much of Paris as we can and still fit much of the festival in.

Daft Punk would be interesting, so I assume that means that My Chemical Romance aren't headlining one of the nights?
