Rock en Seine

From what I've heard yes the metro still runs after the festival! Have you already got your tickets? Because there are "VIP" tickets for sale on the Rock en Seine website for an extra 10euro, which allows you to go to after-show parties or something like that! Might get them myself!

"Given that the shows end around 12:30am, you will have time to take the last subways to get to the center of Paris"

Thats taken from the website, are you camping at Bois de Boulogne Campsite yeah?

The last Metro into Paris leaves about the time the last act finishes or just after. There was a huge scramble to get to the trains last year. Be aware, all other lines will be closed by the time you get back, so you cannot change lines, and you will not be able to get back out to St Claude later, or until the morning. If you are't going to camp best option is to stay in Paris.

I am travelling as part of a group of 6 from Manchester to London, then travelling to Paris via Eurostar on the 25th, and staying in a hotel in Paris that night. We plan to camp and all have our tickets, but I just wondered in anyone could shed some light on the camping at Rock en Seine and facilities?! distance to the stages, can we take alcohol into the stage areas, we are all first timers at this festival but regular Leeds Festival go-ers.

It'd be great if anyone is about to answer these :) x

Can't help but think it'll be downhill all the way after Friday. Last gig in Europe for the Foos before they head back to the States. I'm hacked off that Biffy are so low down on the bill but knowing Biffy they'll play like headliners and it's the last gig for them before they start work on the new album.

Biffy, Foo Fighters, Arctic Monkeys and Interpol were all amazing :)! Three of us went over from Ireland, great weekend! A very laid back festival, with the general age being mid 20's to 30....didnt come across anyone outrageously drunk (ahem, unlike oxegen for example :P) but everyone was enjoying themselves! I cant comment on the on-site camping as I camped at Bois de Boulogne. So thats just a brief review on what I picked up at the festival...for the 110 euro, it was certainly worth it!

I really enjoyed the festival too. Very laid back and a nice crowd. The food area had lots of nice stuff. It all smelt delicious! I camped in Bois de Boulogne too, and although it took about an hour to walk to the festival site, the option of having a shower was well worth it - plus the 1.50Euro litre of sangria from the shop went down well with out smoked salmon baguettes every morning!

A bit of a silly request here, but if anyone picked up a cup (or goblet!) from this year's festival with the band names on it, i'd be willing to buy it off you. I collected a cup of each design, but then managed to lose my jacket which had this cup in it. PM me if you can help out. Thanks.
