chubbz
I think the opposite, they are looking to make this a big event, and they will bring in some decent acts... Ok, maybe it wont warrant flying acts in from the states specifically for this gig, but if they are around for other festivals or whatever I wouldn't be surprised if some well known names sign up... When Limp Bizkit played a free gig at Finsbury Park back in 2003 they had A, Cooper Temple Clause, Biffy Clyro, InMe and Stun supporting, which I thought wasn't bad for a free gig... Here's hoping Rage make it an all day effort as well... And we get a bit of sunshine as well!! Bring it on!!
gard
That was funded by Carling though wasn't it?
chubbz
Good point, I had forgotten that... Although I suppose they can still arrange a big name backer for this gig as well... One thing that does look good for the day is the way its being hyped up, on www.theragefactor.com it is billing it as the victory party to end all victory parties, and with gates opening at midday they had better have some decent support acts on or else its going to be a very very long day!! r0w
I'm thinking Them Crooked Vultures may be there, in Europe for festivals and Download, could happen. Edited February 18, 2010 by r0w
armthehomeless
I'm not sure, I'd think that TCV would play for free under ratm if they were in the area. And I think Livenation would allow it, so long as the support is announced close enough to the event to have no real effect on Download sales - and there is no rush for rage to announce anything as all the tickets are gone! Poleski
I think it'll probably be someone smallish. A line-up filler as it were.
Mamba
I think there's a good chance that someone like Cypress Hill will play. The rest will probably be British bands like Gallows and smaller.
Lithium05
The King Blues and Sonic Boom Six would be my choices. Would kind of make sense given their political standpoints

kev1664
I'm hoping for Them crooked vultures. It would be immense if they play as well. The Gallows would be a good place to start, getting bigger as it goes up the bill would be nice. I'm not expecting massive bands though even though it is billed as ' the victory party to end all victory parties' (or whatever). But I wouldn't mind being surprised and eating my hat! As long as the acts are heavy enough to keep the fans interested and keep the bandwagon jumpers away from the front it will do me just fine
