She went hugely viral for the Lily Allen thing. Two of my friends went and reckoned it to be up there with anything they’ve seen in 6 Glastonbury’s each. It should also be noted that early last year she did an interview for (IIRC) Vogue in the states and when asked for her favourite memory of playing live she said ‘Glastonbury.’ She was also there soaking it up the day before. Me and Mrs.MEGABOWL saw her in Glasgow this year and it was absolutely headline standard.
Fender seemed to ‘get it’ too. He had to stop for a couple of minutes as he was getting a bit choked up and was then spotted out and about in various states of disrepair into the early hours of Saturday morning.
The 1975….Im not a fan but saw a bit of them at TRNSMT last year and they’re much better live than on record, the crowd was loving it. I won’t be watching but let’s face it the only surprise in them headlining is it hasn’t happened before.
Theres a bit of doubt because there’s no Macca/Elton gig there but it’s a solid set of headliners. All first timers but all having played before. If Fenders stadium gigs sell out and he blows up like the industry seems to be pushing for that’ll be the night he deals his ascent and it’ll look like Glastonbury have judged it just right.
I only ask because someone in a tiktok comment was saying that they heard it was 4 headliners (2 solo and 1 cohead) obviously could be a load of waffle but it did make me question if we had any real proof to disprove that
