Last year we made good use of umbellas (both for rain and sun), as there is little shade for the little ones if its really hot. :P

Last year at Beautiful Days i got well peeded of with people pushing through a crowd of 10'000 with a buggy the size of a small car. Plus they didn't really care much for peoples ankles and shins. Just head down and push. Time and a place for that stuff and massive festival crowds are not it.

@deardo

you're obviously entitled to your opinion deardo, but this will be my fourth glastonbury and if you think i'm gonna miss it just because my wife gave birth 3 weeks ago, you're sadly mistaken. so you'll see all three of us there this year.

in fact, it will be my daughters second glastonbury, as my missus was 8 weeks gone last year :P

@Joe!

might get some tips here:

depends how old your kiddies are - we've taken our wee one since she was 9 months old - this will be her 4th galsto she is nearly 4 - we will also have a new born baby this time – he/she is due 3 days before we go - fingers crossed for early birth or very late arrival!

best thing ever for glasto are:

- 3 wheeler buggy with big wheels - we scoured ebay for an old old urban detour with the old big wheels , hard to coem by but worth their weight in gold–

- if you kids are too big for buggy’s get one of those fabbo bike trailers/buggys – they glide through the mud and the kids can chill in it when knackered out http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-CHILD-BIKE-TRAIL...=item4839a5cd19

- good rain cover and sun cover

- potty (we had 1 in tent and 1 of those collapsible ones you put bags in - they are ace pop under the buggy and let your kid have a wee where ever you are - also double up as a loo seat so they dont fall down the long drops!

- waterproofs - not all in 1 in case they need a wee

- extra pair of wellys

- elastic bands

- extra socks

- 2 fleece blankets 1 for in buggy (they dry out well)

- disposable trainer pants for night time – just in case – even if potty trained – don’t want wet beds on first night!

- squidgy ear plugs for when they want to sleep in their buggy and ear defenders are too big + hat with ears – chuck the rain cover on and they’re flat out until morning – we just used to leave our daughter in her buggy all night, just wheel it into the tend after you’ve wondered round the site for a few hours!

- fairy lights for buggy – we also have a bike bell :P)

- god send was a little handheld computer toy, was a thomas the tank toy and kept her occupied when rainign and couldnt get out of buggy - she'd nab our ipohones now given half the chance!

- lots and lots of good healthy snacks - if in doubt feed'em but not with sugar coz then you have to deal with the sugar crash and burn right in the middle of the best act! :P)

-

pace out - 2010 gonna be freeking great and we wont need our wellys and raincovers :P)
