Sell out?

Did the festival sell-out last year, if so when? Is it likely to sell out this year?

I bought a ticket for last year in May - and with the current line up its unlikely to sell out very quick.

All depends on the Sunday headliner, Don't think Macca will cause the flurry that the stones did in 2007, but I wouldn'tr wait too long if i were you.

a friend of mine got a ticket on the gate last year.

i'd imagine it all hinges on who the sunday headliner is this year, i'm thinking it's going to be Paul McCartney and if it is once that is announced i'd imagine there will be a rush of people wanting tixkets and it may sell out.

it was just Muse's name on the poster when the tickets sold out in six or however many days.

I think your both getting confused have you had some really bad festival experiences?

Saw Radiohead at V and there fans didn't shit all over the other acts, everyone seemed into most of everything, infact I was surprised the pop friendly V "got" Radiohead so to speak.

im sure most musical acts have obsessed fans... i mean neil young last year im sure he had at least 2 people who thought he was gods gift to music..... (please neil young fans dont start shouting at me again for not being a fan... )

I have been informed it is actually selling quite well! If it is Sir Paul I expect there will be a big rush of sales.

If, as has been hinted, they are trying to change the Festival demographic - i.e. appealing to the older generation - then I, for one, will NOT be 'zimmering' the 8 miles from my home to the Festival Site.

Not really a fan of this Festival - it's way too crowded for my taste - but, credit where credit is due, they normally have a great line-up. This year, so far, may be an exception...
