sage
Why's this still only down as a rumour? Have we no Faith in the good people at glastonburyfest.org? Did, as they report, Maxi Jazz confirm this on stage at the O2 in Leeds? Any witnesses or do we remain Faithless?
eggyrocks
I'm very glad if they are up against Stevie, been worried if we do get Arcade Fire they'd be in that slot, so it's one relief, now just AF news needed!

Did, as they report, Maxi Jazz confirm this on stage at the O2 in Leeds? Any witnesses or do we remain Faithless? efestivals uses its own criteria for it chooses to say is to-be-confirmed, no less than other places do. I have no idea what the criteria is that other places use, or how good their info is. As such, eFestivals doesn't take anyone else's say-so as being accurate, because there's always a lot of duff info floating around (as history has got to show). I'm not saying their info (or anyone's) is necessarily duff, I'm saying I have no way of knowing whether it is or not. eFestivals has made efforts to check out the Faithless info via other sources, but to date we're drawing a blank. sage
Thanks for the update. No mention of it on their website forum although they did update their European gig list only yesterday Still a big Glasto sized hole in the schedule and for their last tour you'd expect them to want to revisit the good times. eFestivals
So you are implying that either; 1) there was no self-confirmation made by Maxi Jazz at Leeds, or the numerous sources from that gig are all part of one big bluff? 2) Maxi Jazz has lost it and become delusional on drugs, and that he was just talking shit? Out of interest what's the difference in criteria for a "rumour" and a "strong rumour" on this site? No, I'm saying that the one claim I've seen of it being said isn't something I've been able to verify as true. Just think back a week or so. Someone posted on here about how Robbie had said he was playing. I treated that in the exact same way and it turned out to be bollox. I don't ever take a post on here as being gospel without it being verified in another way. A rumour is "there's a rumour going around". A strong rumour is "they're likely to be playing". I have nothing to go on which tells me it's likely.
ivan
Very true ! A supposed comment made in a Leeds night club , prob in the early hours does not warrant anthing more than a rumour.

A Man
I have it on absolutely no authority whatsoever that Faithless are definitely playing. But they might not be. Glad to help.
Mardy
I'd be wary of taking what maxi jazz says as gospel. He may be an energetic charismatic frontman, but my god he talks some bollocks. The clip of Faithless at Glastonbury that people like to post on these boards every 5 minutes has him dedicating a song 'to everyone who is here and everyone who is not'. So that's everyone, then? so not really a dedication?

dingbat2
The only problem is I cannot see them playing anywhere other than headlining the Other Stage one night. This is one of the few years I would like to see all 3 pyramid headliners, so I am going to be disappointed one way or the other. And yes I know I am being greedy!
