Hamilton fined for driving stunts. Is the local justice system in Melbourne part of the wider possibly racist conspiracy against the man, I wonder?

Actually, the best part of that article is the use of the word "hoon" as in "he was driving like a hoon". I'm thinking it's a mixture of hoolian and loon. Or possibly a reference to former Labour Defence Secy, Geoff Hoon. Although probably the former.

Presumably that's in euro?

And they're just the basic/retainer wages?

On James allen's site there was a similar article saying red bull's basic wages account for only somethin like 30% of a drivers pay with the rest in bonuses for position etc. Whereas for ferarri and mclaren it's more like 60-70%...

Would explain the big difference between em on that list anyway. :)

What fishing? If you honestly think me suggesting that suggesting that the Magistrates' Court of Victoria is in collusion with the FIA and the BDRC President in order to discredit Lewis Hamilton in order to ensure that he doesn't win the the World Driver Championship is anything other than a joke but instead designed to anger you so you respond in an aggressive way and in result destroy another thread which you are invovled in - a thread that I very much enjoy btw - then you really need to get off these threads and get some counselling for the persecution complex that you have.

Agreed. It died a death in the late 90s. You get the occasional decent race now, and it's certainly an exciting fight for the championship this season, but too many races are processional.

And Senna was a nut case, his career is litered with moves that are similar to some of Schumacher's. Great driver, but crossed the line too many times for me.

I think you're viewing it with rosy specs, a few highlights dont make an era! Loads of races were processional back then too, with half the field dropping out due to reliability issues as well, meant that there were often barely any battles on the track at all, proper, proper borefests. Admittedly the action when it happened was probably better then, there was less off it though over the course of 2 hours.

I've been watching since 83ish and enjoy watching the actual races even more now than I think I did as a boy
