So why was the site closed.....libellous posts or you didnt like people on there ? You seem to be giving two excuses....it seems to me you've had a bad time the few times you been to T in the Park (which I wouldnt wish on anyone), you had trouble with Geoff Ellis and you dont like some people on the forum (crossing the line between mod and user) so you took your chance to close it. Do you see a pattern there....Mr Efestivals doesnt like T !! And you take the 1st chance to argue with anyone that has an opinion that go's against yours rather than speak to us !!

The forums got closed because they simply were not worth continuing with as they were from a business point of view.

If I hate T so much, why would I be considering bringing back the forum in a style that would be a better representation of T in the Park than it was being?

Surely if I hated T at even just a smidgen of what you're suggesting I'd be very happy for it to be undermined by the way it was being represented in that forum?

Come on now, if Efestivals hated T with absolute spite he would not provide it with coverage, such as todays T Break announcement, hell, he would have removed the many years of information and photos he has on the event. It would be better to let this die, some of us would potentially like to have a forum back :P

EDIT: Snap

I've got an idea? Why doesn't everybody shut the fu*k up, make up, post about how great it is to go to festivals around the UK, especially T, let bygones be bygones and all that and STOP FU*KING BITCHING!! Not naming names but you know who you are! It's getting really boring and I'm not even going to T, I just enjoyed blethering to punters on the forum. This thread is one big moan, accept the fact that Efestivals own this site and can do what they want and rightly so. It's like going into your local, the minute you start shooting your mouth off, the owner gets pissed and kicks you out for being loud and crass. Same applies here, don't like it, there's plenty of other boozers.

Now lets all hug! :P

Will there be some kind of T forum coming back to efestival at all?

There very probably will be.

But there's no point bring it back until the message has got thru to some that it needs to be different to what it had become, so that it can better serve the purpose it's there for.

As can be seen from some posts here, some believe it should be run as they believe for their benefit, rather than for the benefit of all respectful-to-others T goers.

Perhaps it would help you guys if you appointed more moderators to specific forums - with the moderators being regular posters. I'm not talking about paying people, just picking regular posters who have an affiliation to particular festivals.

If you had guys who have the best interests of keeping the forum alive by moderating posts and re-banning previously banned users, it would perhaps take some strain off you?

Football fan site forums like the one for my own team get far more libellous stuff posted (as you expect by the nature of football and rivalries etc.) and cope by having at least 6 mods.

The T forum had become rather shite latterly but to be honest I dont really look at it much these days. I posted on the General Chat forum but arguements between the usual suspects bored me away from that too. Its not only the T forum that went downhill.

Anyways, onwards to pastures new. Where?

Efestivals, (or is your name Neil?) I only have a few small points to make.

This is your site - you may do whatever you want on it. I am not doubting that, or attempting to tell you otherwise.

What I want to know is why (A) The T in the Park forum was removed without any annoucnement from yourself, explaining your reasoning, and (B ) Despite reciving many requests to explain the reasoning on this thread - you mearly allowed yourself to get involved and a tit-for-tat with Indiebager, and look for any excuse for cheap 'pointscoring' threads to hoist yourself above all posters on this site - whilst ignoring anyone looking for your reasons in removing the thread.

I don't post much - but I read quite regularly, and there are (were?) a large number of decent posters on the TITP forum, you have let the them down twice.

Firstly as moderator it is your job to ensure that the site is run without idoits spoiling it for everyone, ban the idoits and ban their IP's. If they form a new account ban that aswell. The moderator is there to ensure the forum doesnt collapse into the mess we've had in the last weeks, by merging similar threads (wheres everyone playing etc) and locking/deleting threads thats have either (A) Concluded, where the OP asks a question and recieves and answer - therefore no further discussion needed, or ( B ) stray so far off topic they will not return to topic, or ( C) Which bear false information (such as the JayZ school rumour thread.)

Secondly they were let down on this thread, when you had ample time to explain this situation in full, explain why it must be shut down, tell us if/when it will reopen, and if it does, what to do to ensure this doesn't happen again. Instead you lowered yourself to the whining schoolboy with quips such as "eFestivals has, for the first time ever, got on his knees and prayed that your new home makes you happy enough to stay just there" and " f**k off from these forums."

Have you actually read the words you have written?

Moderate – (noun)

6.a person who is moderate in opinion or opposed to extreme views and actions, esp. in politics or religion.

You are none of these.

Its also a "priviledge" to have a forum?

Im guessing that 80-90% of the people who visit this website come on here for the forum to which ever festival they attend. I believe that the whole point of this entire website is to inform people about information about festivals, is it not?

They are unsavoury people in every walk of life, forums are no different. There is also some people who don't know how to behave, you don't expect it from the forum moderator.
