i thought the whole point of a forum was to provide a place for general discussion, banter, rumours and this and that. Unless someone has been waaaaaayyy over the top in the 12 or so hours i didnt check the forum then to shut the thing down its just laughable!

Everyone should head to pinthedark, and hopefully people can continue on with the banter. Tbh if everyone did move to this new forum i wouldnt care less if the efest t forum never came back

On the Reading and Glasto forums there was a poster called mike99 who after every post was greeted with a massive torrent of abuse, why werent they shut down?

He hasn't started a rival forum. Firstly, his forum has been around for a while but I suspect was very quiet as everyone was on here. Secondly, a 'rival' implies two opposing factions but seeing as efestivals no longer has a T in the Park forum, where is the rivalry? He's simply providing a new venue which efestivals no longer provides.

he hasent failed as there werent many assholes in the T forum ...we all had a laugh and we were all getting to now each other through good banter and a laugh ...the crap started as soon as the T line up was announced and yous all no the reception we got,,,so no didnt think pinthedark will fail as i dont see us getting abuse like that in there...we all gave as good as we got and we all thought that was the end of it ,,,but i was wrong and he pulled the plug anyways !!

i read the glasto board and its usally funny but then ya get the members who still slag us scots and call us rascist names ,,,but NO they dont get shut down they get a pat on the back ...why glasto slag us scots donno,,,but ya never see us slagging glasto or the punters that go...so whos being childish ill leave yous to work that one out for yourselfs !!!

I'd say that the abuse the operator managed to constantly get usually for no reason other than being in the right reflected more than any silly threads about Jay-Z, Eminem, Jeremey Kyle and ruddy SuBo on why its no longer there. As I previously said, no one should have to provide a service, which frankly has been for years top rate and then get hounded for it because a few people dont like their views or opinion.

If it does return, and I hope it does, I like Da_J_Doc idea of having seperate threads/areas for each stage and helpful info, would help return its focus to the event itself.

take your glasto board nothing but racist coments regarding scottish people and you think thats ok.

If any user sees any racism on these forums they're wanted to report them, and action will be taken. I've not seen any examples and no reports have been made of racism in the Glastonbury forum this year (and a whole lot longer). So I think it's safe to assume that you're no more wise on what is and isn't racism than you showed yourself as being a few weeks back.

You can continue to enjoy the forums that you're on, but this isn't going to be one of them.

What action may or may not be taken with others is not your concern or your business.

Pinthedark forum is never going to be as big as eFest which as on any forum has some idiots, would've been better to just ban them but its his business as he said and if something comes up where he can get action taken, its easier to remove the problem before it gets out of hand. Hopefully you'll reinstate the T board for users who didn't abuse others.

I don't post often, but have been reading the topics in recent weeks and can't recall seeing anything that bad. The facebook, Jay Z and countless stage times threads were a bit laughable, but that was mainly due to them being kids. Removing the threads or banning them would have solved that problem.

As for the "racist" thread, there was hardly anything out the ordinary to cause too much offence. English people saying Scots are "druken thugs" and Scots responding by calling them "English c**ts", hardly ground breaking. What's next? The removal of the Oxygen forum because someone claims everyone at it is thick and likes potatoes.
