Unfortunately it's not ever a perfect solution. The banned come back (as has badger, for example) plus they round up their idiot fan club in their support which has a greater bad impact (at least for a while) than the banned user has by themselves.

It isn't even my opinion though. eFestivals, the guy who runs the site, has stated that you were at least party to blame, but you still deny it.

That's a good "if you cant play nice you wont play" spin but at the end of the day the decision reeks of personal agenda. You crossed the line from moderator to user and fueled a lot of the problems on that board with your own prejudice towards the festival.

I dont see this as a sad day for the users of that forum, but more for the Efestivals site itself.

I don't understand why people who break the rules can't just be banned from the forum.

I can see the point that they can just re-register but if they do, ban them again... I can guess who will get bored first... especially with how much of a ball ache it is to register on a forum (new email address etc etc). This has turned into a massive issue from one or two childish people not knowing where the lines are.

I don't think it's fair to remove the whole forum, as most of us T in the Park goers just want to chat about our upcoming festival as everyone else does.

Sometimes its a no win situation, but I cant see how u couldnt leave the board an ban the unsavoury types
