Seen as we are dabbling in some tent porn on here, I'll stick my own choice in....

Sunncamp Elan 200

2 man tent with a seperate living area(it's 200cm high so most can stand!) and 3000mm hh.

Absolutely perfect for what I want, just not sure I have £200 to spare on a 2 man tent at the moment :P

I agree, and yet... and yet...

I'm thinking of buying a 1 man tent for this year.

Reasons:

- I'm going by train, and any reduction in bulk/weight is good

- I won't arrive til Weds afternoon, so being able to pitch in a small space is useful

- It's only for sleeping.

If it can fit in me, my camp bed and my rucksack, without anything leaning on the walls and causing a leak, I'm golden. Oh gotta have a porch for muddy boots too.

Same if I had 200 quid to spend on a new tent when I already have an Adequate two man(I love it I just want a tad more space once we have all the gear inside). then yeah I would go for this.

Decathlon Merry Hill, West Midlands.

Not on Decathlon UK website as yet but plenty of stock in Merry Hill. They are on other European Decathlon sites though. Also there is a bloke selling them on Ebay for £160 + £10 delivery a bit of a rip-off as they are only £139. Looking on a UKcampsite tent review website it also seems that different Decathlons do sell at different prices so if yours starts selling them over £139 then have a word and sort them out!

Am so tempted by one of those Quechua tents JodiB!

Been trying to find a 4 person tent for festivals/weekend camping but they all seem to be too heavy, not high enough (I have a v.tall husband) or lacking in a sewn in groundsheet (keeps you nice & warm & toasty!) - this may be the answer to my search! :P

Quechua Base 4.1 £139.

I'm also on the Base Full + small pop-up combo. The Base Full has now been removed from Decathlon's website, I guess that means it's really discontinued now. JodiB said Decathlon had the Base 4.1s in for about a month now. Did you see any in Canada Water? I'm still very pleased with the price on the Base Full though, £65, which is 1/2 what it was going for last year.
