As far as I can see, that is not what he acually said, which is just as well, as he has no right to say such a f**king stupid thing.

They won't. They've got far too much stake invested in their operations now - it's not like it was over ten years ago when they all played hardball over their land rents. Some have glamping and don't actually even contribute land to parking now. They're all hooked and they can't stop. They'd still get their money anyway - the sort who can pay those prices for a yurt etc can easily absorb another 100 without blinking.

At least in my case, it was to be used as a research expedition vehicle across Africa from September. Land Cruisers aside, there are few vehicles which are as reliable (well... ), easy-to-fix, serviceable worldwide, and capable of tolerating as wide a range of terrain and conditions as a Defender is. Given modern emissions and other manufacturing and regulatory standards, contemporary vehicles simply aren't up-to-snuff for that sort of thing, at least not cheaply. Hence, amongst other reasons, the demand for old Defenders. Alas! -

I’d agree with that. Maybe assessing how big a crowd certain acts will attract, taking into account the demographic of the festival attendees could prevent some problems. As for cost, it will hit 400 in the next few years as others have said.
