May have been said before & so I apologise but Bearing in mind that FR have said the 3 headliners are all exclusive headliners & are not headlining any other UK festival (not sure if they also said that they were also playing at other festivals?? - if so possibly rules out MCR as a headliner as they are at TITP esp if they headline the R1/NME Stage at TITP)

Are Green Day really in for a shout to be above MCR and headling or are people just refusing to accept the likelyhood MCR are going to be headlining? (I myself still don't know what to think).

Obviously Green Day aren't doing anything this year and don't need to promote the live album Awesome As F**k, surely last year was the year if any to have them headline?

I just think the Headliners dont add up. We usually get headlining

A "legend" headliner (Metallica in 03, Rage, GnR, Peal Jam, Radiohead)

Band currently at the top of their game (Blink, Artic Monkeys, RHCP, Muse in 06)

Band on the way up, the chance card by FR (Arcade Fire, Razorlight, Fran Ferdinand, Killers, Kings of Leon)

Now we have Strokes which is the chance card by FR and we have Muse which could be put in either of the other 2 categories. If you class Muse as a legend headliner then I dont see how MCR is a top of their game band and maybe we may get somebody who nobody has said yet. If you class Muse as the band at the top of their game then the legend headliner I can only think of is Green Day.
