MP3 Player Not Charging

I have a sony x-series mp3 player, and when ever I plug it in my computer recognises it and i can put music on it. But it does not charge at all. I've looked online and can't find any ideas, I've tried reseting it to no avail aswell. On top of that I've alsotried it on different computers and used different usb cables. Annyoen have any ideas on how to sort this out?
