Ebay Tickets

Me and a friend have managed to get our tickets for this year's Glastonbury, however my boyfriend hasn't (despite us both desperately trying all this morning). It would have been his first glastonbury so he's still quite keen to go, and i suppose i'd prefer to have him there too.

However, as he didn't manage to get a ticket in the resale he's now talking about getting a ticket off ebay. Does anyone have any experience of this? I remember being sat on the coach down last year next to a girl who had a ticket obviously bought from ebay (the picture only looked slightly like her - same hair colour i think), who was trying to memorise her "name" and "address". I don't know if she got in or got turned away though.

Even though i want my boyfriend there, i think i'd be more comfortable with him saving the money and definately being able to go next year (just in case it ends up being a fake ticket, he gets turned away at the gate etc). Though, like i said, he's quite adamant to go.

Does anyone have any advice? Thanks.

I wouldn't risk an ebay ticket myself. You're at the mercy of how thorough the staff are being on the particular gate you pick.

There will be 'some' more tickets on sale - people can still cancel up until May. Many people on here have got tickets late before just through perserverance. Keep calling See, keep an eye on the See Glasto tickets page, you never know he might get lucky.....

I did see some people being turned away at gate. Were sent to a portacabin because they didn't look like the photo. Don't know what happened from there.

Could be very expensive. Also he may not be your boyfriend anymore if you go in and he has to sit in the car for 5 days :P

a few of my mates have got in on ebay tickets ,they looked nothing like like the pictures , all you've got to do is be chatty to the person looking at your ticket and they will leave you through , they are mostly students who couldnt give a shit who goes through the gate , at least 3 of my mates will be buying tickets from ebay this year and i guarantee they'll get through the gates

Not sure about this 'students couldn't give a shit who goes in' statement. I have had a couple of young people checking mine and they were quite thourough. Pretty much depends on who you get.

I think there are a lot of people minding the gate who find it rather arousing to have power over people.

:P
