Agree with the dude above.

It's looking like I'm gonna have to cancel my tickets too. I lost my job in January and there's no sign of me getting another anytime soon. It's only 2 months away and between my good lady's wage and what I get, it's nowhere near enough to save for a tent, travel and spending money. It would have been our first Glastonbury and after all the shit I've been through trying to get tickets for the last 10 years, I thought this was the year we'd finally get to go to the big one. But that's the way the cookie crumbles I suppose, so take your pal and work out getting the money paid back over time. Hell, if he's having as hard a time as I am finding work he'll be indebted to you forever for giving him the time of his life and taking his mind off his situation.

Looks like it's telly and barbecue for me again that weekend. Never mind. <sigh>

Thanks for the advice. I appreiciate it. Sadly I don't really have much to ebay (well, stuff that would be worth anything anyway), asda smart price noodles are already the order of the day and as for the tent, if I don't get a job soon we might need one to live in :P

Don't get me wrong, I'm desperate to go and cancelling tickets is the last thing I want to do but things are looking rather bleak and my May 1st deadline is approaching rapidly. No work by then, and Glastonbury is definitely off :P

Having said that though, as I have been informed by a rather helpful PM, there may be another way :P

Maybe that useful PM will save the day, but it would be a shame for you to miss out. You can do glasto on a budget.

Tent - borrow one or get one off freecycle - always seems to be a fair bit of camping gear up for grabs on my local group.

Food - get a cheap stove (or borrow or freecycle) and take cheap food to heat for yourselves

Travel - liftshare!

Hope you make it!
