Abu, also check you have skirt for the caravan. (I kid you not!) This fills the gap underneath the caravan in the awning to stop draughts and stuff blowing about. Standard fitting on tourers not sure about folders, look for a rail at the bottom like the awning rail at the top.

We didn't have one on our first trip, was a tad chilly and I was scared about getting wild animals in if we left any food out there!

I invested in a trailer tent at the end of last year and Glasto will be its first real outing. The guy who owned it before was a TT enthusiast and it's got a full 12 volt lighting system to run off a leisure battery as well as 240 volts if there's an electric hook up. Since getting it I've bought a three-way fridge - calor gas, 12 volt or 240 volt if there's an electric hook up. At Glasto we'll run the fridge on calor and cook on calor.

Glasto doesn't have electric hook ups but I've not used the leisure battery for prolonged periods. It will only be for the 12 volt lighting. Do you reckon the lesisure battery will stand a week's use. Any advice?

Oh, you might want to take some form of lubricant too for the rail that the awning runs on - sometimes it can get stuck and it helps to run it across really easily. Great for all manner of caravanning tricks. Definitely get the breathable type of awning mat, they're quite comfy on the feet too!

I recommend a brace of dusky maidens to roll your smokes on their thighs, a butler to bring you cocktails and liquers from the drinks cabinet (all in plastic bottles obviously), a built in jacuzzi and large flat screen - so you can sit in it (with aforementioned dusky maidens) and watch the World Cup preferably with a watch again system so you can see it at conveinient moment. A large oven and a celebrity chef so that you can eat well and keep the energy up for all that walking about the site. As it'll be hot an ice machine and air con will mean you stay cool in the blistering heat.

I don't have a trailer tent - I have a converted bus - but reading this thread makes me SO EXCITED about the prospect of staying in it at Glastonbury I almost cannot cope with it. It'll onlybe the 2nd time out proper that we've taken it so it is going to be good.

Good idea re: the little TV, I might get one of those. :)
