Chances of getting a ticket

Hiya,

Yes, I know, I've had since October to sort this out but, have now got to the stage where I don't have a Glastonbury ticket. I didn't have the money for a ticket back when they originally went on sale with deposits and for the resale I was waiting for a new debit card to arrive in the post. I seem to remember other years seeing posts on here about a few more being sold after the May cancellation deadline. Was this an official thing, or just some more suddenly were on See Tickets? I'm thinking of asking today if I can have the time off work, but if my chances are really slim, then I may as well let someone else take that time off that weekend as a few people seem to want it.

Thanks!

Jen

I think you've still got a decent chance of a ticket if you can be bothered to put the hours in. There're probably a couple more resales between now and the end of May if past experience is anything to go by. The best thing you can do is to check the Seetickets site and these forums a few times a day for the next few weeks.

Any further resales will be in very small numbers and wont be advertised but i've got tickets myself before this way and as long as you're vigilant I think you've a decnt chance.

Good luck anyway.

The year that they kept coming back on sale was the "Jay-Z" year when it didnt sell out if i remember correct. Not sure why they would have held any back this year when demand was so high, but as said above if your determined to get one, you should check seetickets as often as possible over the next 6 weeks.

Best of luck.

I managed to get a ticket last year well after they sold out and after they said that there would be no more resales. Just keep ringing up seetickets and asking, I was lucky and got one on my third try but each person I spoke to said something different; one guy was adament that the previous person I had spoken to wasnt from seetickets, even though they deffinitley were, so its just luck on who you get put through too. If you are willing to make the calls and not get put off by some of the negative responses then you should be able to get one.

Good Luck :P

Thanks for the replies :P

I'll keep bugging See tickets on the phone and checking here and the See webite. Just had a look through the posts from last year and it does seem that there were a fair few for sale after the May refund deadline. Anyway, I've booked my time off work, so even if I don't have tickets, at least I'll have (hopefully) one of the hottest weekends of the year to go on holiday. I'm remaining positive!

Good luck to anyone else still trying to buy tickets.

Best tip is to make www.seetickets.com/g2010 your homepage. Every time you load your browser it pops up and you can see if any are on sale. It'll remind you to harrass, I mean, sorry, to ring SeeTickets every day too.

I have gotten tickets myself this way before - when the glorious "CLICK HERE" had replaced "SOLD OUT". As I was buying mine online, my mate was on the phone with SeeTickets who were insisting they weren't onsale online.

I tried ringing this morning, the chap said there wouldn't be any more resales until after the refund deadline in May. Though as the other posters have pointed out, never believe a word of what you're told by See, it's always a different story each time you call. Good luck all.
