but it was a reply to me asking if cosmetic surgery makes anyone look better. That was obviously not done simply for cosmetic reasons. Obviously in cases like that, bad burns etc, surgery is a good thing

i don't get why so many people on here have problems with other people getting cosmetic surgery.

aye, a lot of people go too far and look totally hideous. but some people do look better with it and not totally unnatural..

i think when people get lots of procedures on their face, to the point where they don't look like themselves anymore, then it's weird. although i might not like the way i look i'd be freaked out if i stopped looking like myself.

but getting something like a boob job can give people confidence that they maybe never had before. maybe it is sad that people need to spend all this money enhancing their looks to make themselves feel happy - but if that's what it takes, then why not?

Of course Tonyblair in an ideal world looks wouldn't matter, and a massive humped nose would be the same as a pert one - both do the same job. But we don't live in an ideal world, looks do matter and if I had a witches nose I'd get it reduced if I could.

Same as getting a flattering haircut or stylish clothes.

There's sensible surgery and then there's the nutty overboard butchery.

what's she had done? her nose? not that much difference really. It's like those ads where the before is a black & white picture of someone looking fed up (not in this case), with an 'after' one in colour, cheecks sucked in, tummy pulled in, etc...

Most of the 'after' shots in this thread look like the women have had reconstructive surgery after being smacked in the face with a spade. By Ray Liotta. He still looks pretty cool, mind.

I was out tonight and I told the girl that the only way I'd remember her is when I got home to cook my chicken and mushroom pot noodle, I said that it would be missing a sauce, and she said that was ok.
