Kiss as a third headliner

True! but it wont happen...

This next paragraph was taken from the official Sonisphere site when they announced the first batch of bands...

"Sonisphere is set to be an even bigger monster in 2010, with the extra day of music added. Friday 30th July will see the festivities getting started with a Rocky Horror Show theme, and ALICE COOPER – the godfather of theatrical rock – suitably closing the evening on the SATURN stage at his only UK festival performance of 2010."

This means to me that it will be a mini day and the Apollo (bigger) stage will be closed all day on the 30th July.

KISS will NOT play before Alice on a smaller stage..

I think we're all aware that was the plan - but remember last year they told us in the first announcement there would only be 2 stages, things change.

If KISS came calling and said they wanted to play im sure the orgsnisers would be happy to open the mainstage on the friday for them. Saying that, im pretty sure they wont be there.

what?, KISS might approach the organisers of a festival that didnt sellout last year, and wont sell out this year, and ask to play on the night before it starts properly?

you obviously know nothing about Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons.

Hey, I just thought I'd point out that in May's issue of Classic Rock there's an article on the 40 most powerful people in rock. Anyway under Stuart Galbraith (page 66) it says Maiden, Rammstein and Kiss in the Uk.

Exact quote:

"....2010 includes the Big Four: Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax, with Maiden, Rammstein and Kiss in the UK."

This could be a mistake - but that's what it says.

The Magazine was also guest edited by Kiss themselves.

What do you think?

Your quote of mine you obviously have read what I wrote wrong.

That is in refence to Pendulum. Why would they be holding back Pendulum as special guests, there was no reason to, hence why I think they've only just taken on that position recently.

Think whoever was Special Guests before pulled out or have moved elsewhere on the line up

How would playing second to Alice Cooper on a mini day of a festival pay more than the likes of playing their own shows in some of the biggest venues in the UK?

Thank you for that pearl of wisdom but i do believe my posting to be correct.

Something tells me you are not a business advisor, right?

Cheers for the comments guys.

Looking at the evidence i think it is possible that kiss might headline the friday.

You say rammstien need a lot of time to set up, but i'm sure the organisers could get aroudn this. they have a lot of time before the previous date (9-10july in madrid) so its possible they could get alot of the stuff set up on the thursday. but i'm not a roady so i don't know.

i guess will have to wait till the end of kiss's tour
