chatroom - new colours

The chatroom has had a colours make-over.

Unfortunately, because of how flash applications cache things, users who've used the chatroom previously might default to the cached colours rather than the new colours - and they're not compatible to work together.

To for the chatroom to give you the new colours, when in the chatroom, press the options button, and then select the 'efestivals2009' option from the "select colour scheme" drop-down menu. Then click OK, and the new colours should be revealed.

Slightly easier on the eyes ...Could you just not use IRC and a flash/java script on the site for non techy people to use? Sure they could be script to use forum logins to somewhere

I think its much better.

Anyone any idea how you change the font colour used for system messages - like xxxx has entered the room etc - light blue is very hard to read on a light background.

It's not actually set as light blue, but as the pink that this site uses .... I'm guessing that the same happened with you as it did with me the first time I logged in after the colour change, that, for some unknown reason, it's not changed that feature's colour for you.

I can't remember what I did to correct it - it was either re-loading the theme again (as explained in my starting post), or logging out and back in again.
