Folding canvas wheelbarrow

Hi,

I am on about getting a wheelbarrow or folding sack trolley for glasto this year as last years trolley died on the way down to the camp lol I made the fatal mistake of not putting the pneumatic tires on it and one of the wheels snapped!

Would anyone know where to get a folding wheelbarrow from? Or if a sack trolley would be better?

thanks in advance,

Chris

I got me one of these.. Festival WheelBarrow.com it arrived within three days of my ordering, I have to say I am impressed but don't expect it to take great heavy loads, it will however be handy for the 20kg tent along with sleeping bag etc. Others on here are saying that it sits too low and bashed your knees but i have tried it out and don't agree, however I have not tried it over the Glastonbury terrain so the choice is yours, I will be back in July to give a full and proper review!

IN another recent thread about this barrow...the reviews back were its a bit shit, doesnt corner well and your knees keep getting caught up on the canvas.

Its a nice idea cos it collapses down but for extra carrying and much better traction, bounce and manouverability...B&Q...sack trolley. £15? Sorted!

Nuff said.

I have a little Ford Ka. Luckily only 2 of us are travelling so I can put the back seats down but does anyone have any idea of the dimensions of a sack trolley once its been built up - I really don't want to have to construct one once we arrive, and as its going to be around midnight Wednesday when we get there (Don't ask - i'm still bitter about it!) I don't want something flimsy with wheels falling off in the dark! A happy Digi that would not make!! The festival wheelbarrow looks fine - if I weren't planning on taking a wine box or two (or several!) :P

We had a folding wheelbarrow and it done a great job for both V2006 and Glastonbury 2007 until it got nicked (strange that, was save and sound at V and lost it at G). You just need to go a bit careful and don't overload it - they're quite good for those awkward bits and pieces that you don't have enough hands for. Not sure if we'll got for this or something more sturdy this time, depends on space.

thanks for all the advice. that blue festival wheelbarrow looks good, but I was thinking of getting a bigger version, I saw one on amazon I'm just worried about flimsiness. I will probably get a sack trolley from b and q for like 15 quid that way I wont care if it doesnt quite survive lol

A point my hubby's just come up with - think about what you're taking. Flat trollies are brilliant if you're stacking crates of beer. If you're planning to use it for tents, sleeping bags, bags of clothes and other mis-shapen things you sort of need something that has sides.
