Bus from Bristol Temple Meads

Hi, do any super info people know what time the buses will be running from Temple Meads on Wednesday morning? Last year they said they didn't start until 11am but they were actually going well before then.

Any idea of the price also?

Cheers

Oh oh, and will the price be for a return or just a single? Will the set-up for returning be to just roll up in the bus car park and wait for the next available bus to Bristol?

I have emailed the festival office a couple of days ago asking for information on the service, but received no reply as yet.

If a couple of others email they may release the information if available on their website (they have been updating other bits of info like not leaving the car parks to stay in the campervans on the Tuesday)

I got the temple meads bus in 2008 as there was big queues for castle cary. Cost 10 quids.

However last year the castle cary bus queue was short and we had special trains waiting for us at the station that left when full (and direct to swindon where I was going).

No help I guess - sorry.

After the traffic nightmare of last year when i was stuck on a bus from Bristol to the site for 6 hours, i would never risk that again. If i ever had to get public transport again i would get a train to Castle Cary rather than Bristol and if all is good get the shuttle bus to the site. Worst case senario it is possible to walk from Castle Cary to the site (about 4 miles) but walking from Bristol is not an option.

Just had a not-very-helpful mail from the Glastonbury Office saying:

"You can arrange a seat on a bus through National Express. You would need to contact them direct. Please see below."

Which contradicts their site message which says:

"Glastonbury Festival is also operating a coach shuttle service from Bristol Temple Meads railway station. You can't book in advance, just pay on the bus."

Sheesh.... :P

FYI, the TOS has finally put up some detailed information for this service:

The Festival is also operating a coach shuttle service from Bristol Temple Meads railway station. The buses operate on Wednesday June 23rd to Friday 25th, from 10am until 7pm, with hourly departures. They then run back from the Festival site to Bristol Temple Meads on Sunday June 27th from 12noon-11pm and on Monday June 28th from 6am to 4pm, again with hourly departures. Tickets for the bus costs £14 each way.

I have a couple of questions about this service:

1) Where do you queue/pay for this at Bristol? Do you just queue up outside the train station or do you have to buy a ticket first?

2) At Glastonbury on Monday morning, what is the longest time anyone has gone from entering the queue to arriving in Bristol?
