Hey there, was hoping for some recommendations for hotels near the site.

Any that people have already booked/know is in comfortable distance to glasto for wednesday morning. Hopefully they won't all be booked up yet!

Was going to sleep in the car tuesday night, but hotel sounds like a much better idea =)

Cheers in advance xx

It might be worth calling round a couple of places and seeing if they've had cancellations. Hopefully there'll still be a couple of rooms somewhere. We only got ours recently so there is the odd place here and there.

Good luck! :P

Simply widen your search to include up to 30 miles in all directions from Glastonbury Town and Pilton.

Bridgewater

Taunton

Bristol

Shepton

Wells

Cheddar

and so on.

People have been booking up rooms probably since July 1st and definitly since October!!!

There WILL NOT be the traffic issues that we had last year...unless we are ridiculously unlucky. 3 crashes on the motorways and road into the fest was just coincidence! It hasnt ever been that bad before.

The nearest campsite in G Town no longer takes Glastonbury Festival goers on the Tuesday night...we saw to that last year! :P

Just get a map of the area. Get your internet up and google for B&Bs anywhere within a light (less than an hours) driving distance to the festival site.

Last yr we stayed at the Bear Inn, Street. Under 10 miles from the fest. This yr they're charging £85 for a double which we thought was a little steep (can't remember what we paid last year but less than that). But for anyone who doesn't mind forking out, they've still got availability, the rooms are lovely (at least, the one we had was), it's easy to find, does a great buffet breakfast and nice evening meals. And it's in the centre of town so handy for getting last minute supplies.

For this yr I've just booked a room at a village pub under 5 miles from the site for 60 quid, by trawling through several on this link:

I literally booked 5 minutes ago so there is stuff available if you look hard enough!
