I thought possibly a sculpture of a man or woman with their arms by their sides and head slightly bowed down. So then I went looking for something similar and of course Antony Gormley's only got a metal piece just like it; http://www.antonygormley.com/uploads/images/0636_you_2005_001.jpg

Still, it would look good in timber although may not be too much of a challenge for someone as skilled as James is. I'll go back to the drawing board I think. Mind you I don't think my input is going to get any better than a willy.

I doubt if any of you will remember, but back on p9 and p10 of this thread are some pics of my workshop. Been renting it for 13 years. Two nights ago some gits broke in, stole all my powertools and then covered the floor in an 'accellerant' and torched the place, destroying the building and all the remaining contents including a couple of months worth finished stock ready for selling this spring. Why couldn't they have just stolen the tools. I and my workshop are totally gutted.

One of the greatest memories last year was sitting on the Thursday afternoon chatting away to randoms at the large table and chairs- simply brilliant

Just can't believe that one human being would do this to another, as you say take the power tools - they can be replaced, but don't ruin the workshop and the beauty you have created :-(

So sorry to hear this. I just can't understand how anyone could do this. I hope you can claim the cost of your power tools back from any insurance you may have had (although I guess if the workshop was in a remote spot, that may have been difficult).

There's something quite chilling watching the video of the charred ruins and the birds singing in the background.

I agree with the statement they are w*nkers. It's one thing to steal tools but goes way into the despicable and malicious to torch your work shop and contents. One can only hope that what goes around comes around for them. Sorry for your loss and that of your would be clients this spring.
