managed to get the acoustic chair stick on its end and did the first few cuts. a bit larger than is ideal so i may try to make it a two seater.

just to give you a break from all the U2 threads, here is a shot of last year's cedar table set which we have completely revamped , reshaped and resanded and oiled. its onsite now and hopefully will be in a different field this year.....we'll still be in the wonderful croissant neuf field with the majority of our stuff.

stopped for a brief cuppa whilst desperately trying to get the first eight oiled as it looks like rain.luckily on dry wood the thinned first coat dries really quickly.

It's just started raining here but i think the oil has dried enough. Here's a pic or one of the eight completed(apart from more oiling). Only 8 more to go.

Today i'm trying something different. I've an large oak mushroom table that i made about 4 years ago. it is covered in fine cracks radiating out from the center as it is so dry. i'm going to attempt to fill the cracks with brass and then sand and polish it. fingers crossed...........could be a huge waste of time , energy and money.

old oak mushroom table cracks now filled with brass and varnished. poor photo. looks better than in the pic, but it was a right old game doing it and it cost a few bob.....not sure yet.
