Anywhere close-by to buy beer?

Ok, this years goin to be my first year at Glastonbury!

Just wondering if there is anywhere close to get carryouts?? Im flying from Belfast to Bristol, then a coach onwards to the festival site! So obviously wont be able to fly crates of beer over with me!

Been to Reading and Download b4, where theres people selling crates everywhere and thier close to the towns so easy enuf to get beer, just wanted to kno if theres anything similar at Glastonbry???

Any help wud be appeciated thanx!!!

Sadly, No. The festival is in the middle of the countryside and the site is absolutely massive. It would take you all day to walk the 6 or so miles to Glastonbury town, and then the same back carrying crates of beer.

Buy it in Bristol before you get on the coach. But be prepared to carry it from the bus to one of the many campsites which isn't a short trip. Or there are hundreds of bars on site. Or make friends with some nice people like me and my mates who are bringing plenty by car. Or don't get drunk.

If you don't fancy struggling with beer, get a couple of bottles of spprits, and but some value water in the supermarket and decant the spirits into that. Maybe boxes of wine with carry handles as well.

You could just make use of the shuttle bus to/from Glastonbury town, it's about £3 each way but a slab of beers from the Morrisons will still work out cheaper than buying from the bars.

Big Supermarkets in Shit-and-Smell-it are probably closest. Easy enough to get there, blag a lift.

Buy it in Bristol, the site is right in the countryside, not walkable to a close town like other festivals, and you won't want to be leaving the site once you arrive

Otherwise known as Shepton Mallet. Probably about an hours walk from the site, which is a long way when you are carry 2 slabs of beer
