rapdeane
FEATURING: TIGA / BLOODY BEETROOTS / BOY 8-BIT / ZOMBIE NATION (LIVE) / AZARI & III Shaping up to be the biggest and most exciting dance event the capital has ever seen, L.E.D Festival will transform otherwise humdrum bank holiday weekend in August into a clubbing paradise set in the leafy surrounds of Victoria Park, with headline sets from Gallic House superstar David Guetta and returning bass warriors Leftfield plus must-see appearances from special guest Aphex Twin, Goldfrapp, Soulwax, Calvin Harris, Friendly Fires, Professor Green and Sub Focus. Now L.E.D can unveil some out of this world additions for the Planet Turbo Arena. Headlined by Turbo’s own top man, Tiga - a genre defining DJ whose take on techno-fuelled floor fillers has seen him transformed from Canada’s leading exponent of dance music into a world renowned force - the Planet Turbo Arena will be unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before. Swedish director Andreas Nilsson has been working closely with Tiga and will provide a staggering, themed stage production, details of which are currently top secret but when you consider Nilsson’s previous stage work includes The Knife and Fever Ray and video direction for artists including Peter Bjorn & John, Royksopp, The Knife, MGMT and more, you know it’s going to be nothing short of spectacular. The previously announced Bloody Beetroots revolutionary live show will add an anarchic air to proceedings as will Boy 8-Bit whose riff-heavy bombs can’t fail to get the audience bouncing. One of the most exciting acts to emerge in recent years, Boy 8-Bits’ weighty club bangers and boundary pushing production have gained him an army of admirers and make him the perfect Planet Turbo fit. German Techno don Florian Senfter AKA Zombie Nation will be present and correct with his intergalactic live show utilizing his MPC and effects units to devastating effect. From his debut ‘Kernkraft 400’ to his recent ‘Time Machine Mix’, Zombie Nation is always on point, so expect to be reaching for the lasers from the word go. Azari & III’s Chicago and Detroit style flavours will also be on display to get the crowd rocking. With a bucket full of anthemic bouncing grooves and fist-pumping beats to stir the masses, these are definitely ones not to miss. And it doesn’t stop there, Planet Turbo still have plenty more up their sleeves; all will be revealed. There are lots more announcements to come so keep an eye on www.ledfestival.net for more information.
