Only ever seen em at glasto 93, off my tits on acid. ( :P sigh, those were the days! :P ).

From what little I can remember they were really good.

Hoping to catch em in the glade this year, clashes permitting of course.

they will be fkn amazing and only because its U2 on the friday am i missing seeing them in the dark at what will no doubt be an amazing cube-henge set

they can be as indifferent as any band.. seen them 2 times a year for a long time and The Dream is some record indeed but the good Dr hasnt played the festival as The Orb in a long time so the pressure is on

but..... they're on twice which is a massive bonus

friday expect the greatest (s)hits set which couldn't of course touch the '93 performance but will be so good to see

saturday in the glade i expect the more recent stuff and although it'll be daylight it will be great to see them in full effect once again

watch the skies...

i was originally excited about seeing them when i seen them added to the glasto bill, im not so sure about them now. i remembered that they played wickerman festival a couple of years ago, i went to see them and heard them playing litttle fluffy clouds.. i always wanted to hear that live... but they were quite boring live and nothing more than average to non exciting. i didnt stay to watch their whole set and wandered off.

of course this maybe different at glasto, but i think its gonna be down to if theres nothing else on at the same time.

Saw them at Bangface weekender 3 weeks ago and at Glade 2 years ago.

Not a massive fan anyway but I thought they put on fairly good sets, i'm sure headlining a Glastonbury stage they will do a crowd pleaser set

I was going to see Groove Armada on the Friday night, but I am now leaning towards The Orb, although I am not overly familiar with their early stuff, which I understand this set, greatest (s)hits, will consist of.

I just think if it is a nice summer evening and Cubehenge in the dark with the glowing cubes as good as I imagine it will be, and maybe even some acid this could really be something not to be missed.

To all you people who are more familiar with their work, what albums tracks should I be listening to in order to get ready?

Thanks

Thanks for all those tips, I am listening to Pomme Fritz at this very moment, I can really feel this all coming together, Glastonbury, summers evening, Cubehenge's ambient lighting, Orb's ambient sounds, maybe some shrooms/ acid. Then take it up a notch at Arcadia with Kissy Sell Out and Dogshow Disco
