oh yeah, he'll be singing it after Wednesday, won't he.

So the sing-a-long will be "we're coming home, we're coming home, England's coming home". :P

hhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmm

Socrates or Neil. which ones opinion to put most stock into? call me crazy, but i think Socrates might, only might mind, know a tad more, only a tad more, than Neil!!

Nope, he and you know no different to me. We all have the exact same thing to go on: guesses. :)

But my guesses do at least match up with England's playing. I say they'll do shit because they play shit. Care to tell me where their last four games show me as wrong?

Aw come on Tugs. All footballers are morons and their opinion should be null and void.

After all, what do these World Class, professional, international footballers know about the World Cup? Hmm?

Well, taking predictions about the world cup out of things, the rest of what you say is just about right for 99%+ of them - most of them don't have two brain cells to rub together.

And does someone stacking beans onto the shelf in tesco's know how that tin of beans is made? :P

give it up CBC. Neil knows more than Socrates cos Socrates is just a footballer without 2 brain cells to rub together

oh,.........

Sócrates Brasileiro Sampaio de Souza Vieira de Oliveira, MD, Ph.D

Oh sorry, I hadn't realised. That of course means that every prediction that leaves his gob will be 100% accurate.

The angle you're taking here is laughable. So what if there's SOME players saying that England MIGHT win? There's many more making different predictions.

Which just goes to show that being a pro makes them no more knowledgeable about these things than anyone else. At the end of the day, each is nothing more than a guess, and none more valid than any other. At the end of the tournament - just via the fact of differing predictions and nowt to do with better knowledge - some will have got it right while most will have got it wrong.

One thing I believe Neil is much better at than either Socrates or Villa is winding people up.

He's a natural. A world class talent.

So you're saying that you know just as much about the teams and players going to the World Cup as David Villa, thus making yours of equal value to his?

Cant see it somehow.

I'm saying anyone can make a guess. Because at the end of the day that's all they are.

Some guesses will turn out to be better than other guesses - because they end up as the right guess - and while those guesses might be based on that person's analysis and so be 'informed guesses', that still doesn't make those who get it right the font of all footballing knowledge, cos it's likely their next guess won't be right.

Villa might have tipped England to win. Other players of the same statue have tipped other teams to win. They'd be of equal value in your amazing value system, yet both won't be right. So why give Villa's tip more credibility than those other players tipping other teams?

At the end of the day my own prediction is no less valid as anyone else's. They are ALL just ONLY guesses.

You're a moron if you think anything different to that. But you don't as your actions prove - after all, have you rushed off down the bookies to put your grannie behind Villa's amazing and can't be wrong prediction?:lol::lol::lol:
