EFestivals Posh Friday is where its at. :P

Fancy dress happens each and every day at the G. It's not entirely new or novel and certainly not waaaay out there and a kooky thing to do.

Also try an outfit that ISN'T based around a superhero theme. Done to death and very dull to witness.

If u forget to pack an outfit there are hundreds of stalls of fancy dress and festy wear u can purchase from too.

In defense of the usual pick on Lucy crap from my dear friend Rufus...superhero fancy dress...its just cliched and sorry if its a personal comment and observation from just ONE person that you cant deal with...but it must be pretty disheartening when a gang of people go 'ohh I know, lets all dress as superheroes cos like noone else is going to be doing that are they' to only find everyone else has had the same idea. Its like everyone turning up to the wedding in the same dress from M&S. :P

You comment on it being an individual's experience...there is nothing individual about seeing individual Bananaman after individual Bananaman filling up a dance tent before your eyes and it becomes a sea of very NOT individual Bananamen all who dont know each other and thought they were being 'individual' when they came up with the idea of buying the cossie.

WHEN someone has actually gone to the effort of MAKING their Bananaman/Batman/Robin outfit THEN they get my attention and compliments, like the very nice guy I met at Glade who had built his Nanaman outfit from scratch, no trip to the local fancy dress shop involved.

Yes, its a free bloody country and at Glasto you can be whoever you want to be but sorry, cliched fancy dress of stag do style gangs of people in cheap and nasty Batman and Robin and Bananaman outfits pisses me off. Fancy dress at the G used to be far better thought out in the days before you could purchase cheapo outfits en masse.

Think out of the box a bit...I have seen student Superhero pub crawls that REALLY go to town eg. Binman - student wearing a bin! Brilliant!

The mega gang of Eavii (male AND female with bald pates and beards) that I saw who unfortunately took a lot longer to get to the Eavis talk in the Speakers Corner last year...now THAT is fancy dress that's fun to see/witness. It took them an age to get to the venue cos EVERYONE wanted a picture as they made their way there. Well thought out, effort into the cossies et voila...positive results all round. Much like the Wally gang in that picture.

OK so if 5000 Spidermen could coordinate to all be in the same place at the same time, that would be ace to witness. :P
