Camping on Tuesday night

Can anyone recommend an off site camp site close to the East car parks for the Tuesday night?

isle of avalon campsite in glastonbury itself - they do caravans motorhomes and tents. its by the dog track/football ground in Glastonbury and easily walk to town from there.

Ashcombe Farm is about as close as you'll get, a few hundred yards from the main gate so its to the west of the site. Probably about 20 minutes walk to the East.

Stayed at Isle of Avalon last year and ended up going into West car parks (nightmare), we were camping in kindey mead field during festival, therfore miles to walk to & from car to replenish refreshments & charge phone and also horrendous getting out. The year before parked in East car park and much closer to where we wanted to pitch and easy to get out Mon am, however we did not cap the night before.

Can't beat this place - pub with food / showers / hook-ups for motorhomes and its a stones throw from the East car parks - we'll be there for the third time!!

Sorry I haven't been able to reply any sooner, however, I can confirm drive from campsite was not to bad. left site around 7.30am and got parked up about 9.30am in the West car park (field W22) from memory.

Have a great Festival

What was your experience of getting to the festival from the isle of avalon? We're doing that this year, we alwayc amp there but in past years have got the shuttle bus from the town, this year we're driving for the first time.
