Bristol to Glastonbury

Hello all we are booked to get to Bristol but are unsure on how to do the final leg. I assume there are coaches? Could anyone point me in the right direction for booking one for the 3 of us.

When would help

You can get a return fare to Castle cary for around £19:50 return on the choo choo and then a free shuttle bus. There are coaches from the bus station you can book though National Express, or there is an irregular shuttle service from Temple Meads for approx £12 single.

i called a taxi company from bristol , first one that came up on a google search, they quoted me approx £60 from airport to festival site...... that was for the thursday and assuming there would be little traffic problems.

Personally, I think that sounds a risky one, what if it is busy, it could well be!

Castle Cary is the closest train station to the festival.

Cheers don't know the area at all, getting a megabus from Newcastle to Bristol so will need to double check where that goes to. Nightmare all this booking transport stuff.

But, I'm just planning on taking the local bus from Temple Meads which I'm told goes to Wells where I then change to another line and then on to Glastonbury...same thing in reverse on the Tuesday after the Festival.

I'm getting in to Bristol a couple days before (on Monday), so it may be a different answer when the Festival starts.

Half of Bristol's at the Festival anyway, so it should be pretty easy to blag a lift down, we may have a space... early tuesday though.

Then on the Wednesday morning theres a bus that goes from Glastonbury town to the festival every hour from about 8am and that was £3 one way last year (they do the same bus on the way back)

1.30pm you should be grand m8. The past two years i've been the shuttle service from Temple Meads station and takes you right the festival site. Usually starts around 11am
