Shuttle bus from Castle Cary

I Understand that these run regularly to and from the festival. I have a friend arriving by train at about 6pm on thursday....how easy will it be to get a bus to the festival and what gate will they get dropped off at please?

Was there a reason for it taking a horrific amount of time to get a bus last year or is that just expected with all those people. Took us about 6 hours after once we were at Castle Cary. Getting a coach this year though

the buses last year were a f**king pisstake.

the only time I could get dropped off was at like 5am, so we waiting til 9 for the buses and it was gone 10 beforE 1 showed up I think, we got on one half hour later cos they moved the queues and we got PROPER queue jumped, then didnt actually get onto the site till like 12 noon cos of the traffic lol!

It was an exceptional set of circumstances. We shouldn't expect a repeat of this.

I have arrived by train for the last 7 glasto's and caught the shuttle bus from castle cary, normally on the Thursday - sometimes the Wednesday. I can honestly say I have never had a problem and wouldn't want to arrive any other way. I haven't timed it, but there are usually a load of buses waiting when the train arrives, and they leave as soon as they are full. I would estimate it takes about an hour from getting off the train, to getting a pint at the cider bus and waiting for your mates to come and help you carry your stuff to the tent!!!
