Hi, here's a few pics we took of the site last year. There is a slope to the site but not steep and it levels out nearer the bottom and along by the toilets, showers and support tent.

The support team on the site are excellent and will help you pitch your tent if you require it.

There is a disabled access mini bus from the disabled car park to the site as well to help transport you and your gear.

The site is fenced off with stewards at main entrance to check you have access wristbands.

The toilets and showers are cleaned regularly and there are power points for charging motorised chairs if required as well.

We have used this site for past 3 years and have had a gr8 time every year due to the really good support from site team.

Hope you have a gr8 festival and hope this info was usefull

  • 2 weeks later...

Sorry I have not replied to this earlier...

Thanks for the pics that has settled my mind a bit as well as I need to gauge what tent to bring.

I will be there with my PA and this is the first time I will have camped in Disabled camping.

Given my mobility is crap, I was wondering about wheelchairs as I will be brining mine hopefully, (if it arrives otherwise I will not be going to far)

Also I see there is not much room, so I guess there is no camp fires allowed? as I do like to sit at night and have a few beers before sleepypoos.

This is all very new for me and I am a little nervous as my disabilities have all come on in the last year, blindness one of them and to be fair I have not mingled with other people with disabilities other than the guys and girls at Rehab. Sooo what is the atmosphere like? is it party central or is it quiet and are the helpers there all night?

Also are we allowed visitors as I have quite a few people who would like to come and see me I hope?

Questions, questions, questions!

Event Mobility are hiring out electric and manual wheelchairs if you are stuck for one.

Some people do have campfires, but most people sit around the communal camp fire which is kept going all day and night.

I'm not sure about visitors as I have no friends! But you are allowed up to 3 friends to camp with you.
