We were originally coming down on the Wednesday but have now had to change our plans to Thursday.

Do we bimble down early hours Thursday morning or leave it til Thursday evening/night ?

Too right, last year most of the 'good' camping was taken by 12noon! The place was packed SO early! I am pretty sure was down to the great weather, so a lot depends on the weather this year.

But yeah, come first thing Thursday - the earlier you get their the better, esp if people are still asleep, will be easier to get around site (without crowds milling around) and might be able to camp between tents, where otherwise people would be sitting/sunbathing (and yes, it's annoying when it happens to you, but i always think ever inch of camping ground is for camping, not for your gazebo, 'police tape' wind sheild, other useless thing taking up space)

In the past I've had to camp in the centre of a big group, as was no where else left near my friends - weren't too popular at first, as these other guys wanted to use the space as comunal ground, but pretty soon I was swigging cider with them!

we got there for thursday midday last year and couldn't believe how full it was to previous

didn't get a good spot, got an adequate one

We're getting there WEds this year. If i were coming Thurs, i wouldn't be getting there as early as i could.
