Pop punk scamps Sum 41 return to the UK and Kerrang! cover stars My Passion make their Download debut. Also confirmed are progressive / ambient metallers Devil Sold His Soul, atmospheric rockers Anathema, death metallers Trigger The Bloodshed, UK riff-makers Enemo-J, modern British metallers The More I See and Sondura. In addition to playing with Michael Monroe, The Wildhearts’ Ginger will also be playing a solo set, as will Tyketto’s Danny Vaughn, plus there’ll be an exclusive DJ stand off set from Classic Rock editor Scott Rowley and Metal Hammer editor Alexander Milas. Some of these acts will be playing on the brand new Jägermeister acoustic stage – bringing the total of stages to five."
bartleby
The Jager stage is a nice addition, I thought it would just be unsigned acts on there. AC/DC having their own stage is quite strange, since them taking up space backstage was the reason given for having less bands on the friday. theramm
AC/DC having a completely different stage is bizarre & a BAD move IMO. So many people will either pitch up & sit by it all day or go & sit by it from 6pm onwards meaning a lack of audience for other bands. Also, by the time TCV & BFMV finish the shuffle from main & 2nd to the AC/DC stage will be w*nk & unnecessary. Also, how big is thing going to be? Surely it takes more than 14 hours to take down the mainstage? Will it be a smaller stage than the main? That'll just look daft!
armthehomeless
I thought that all the Friday bands would play on DC's stage?

gonemental
They should get The Toy Dolls to replace Sum 41. That would be AMAZING!

Lithium05
Haven't Sum 41 cancelled all European appearances because their drummer was in a car accident? Edited May 29, 2010 by Lithium05
bartleby
Unless their stage is in front of main, with everyone playing on it. That would mean main could be ready to go for Saturday before the arena opens on Friday, leaving AC/DC's stage to be torn down overnight, rather than the tear-down and a set up. I still think it's a big ask but I suppose if you throw enough people at it, then it's do-able. Liking the addition of the acoustic stage - puts me in mind of the Nokia Rock Up & Play tent, which I thought was great and I've missed since it's been gone.
