farewellandgoodnight
No Nightrain or Rocket Queen though Other than that, still an epic setlist, I love the various intro's they do. And the live version they do of 'It's Alright' is pretty special too!

Dave The Hedgehog
The Tokyo show, I thought, was Guns N Roses - not at their best but most consistent. The Ritz in 1988 was great but because it was being broadcast on MTV, they couldn't let loose (Slash - "Night train doesn't glamourise drug use or alcohol abuse" - what the f**k???). Argentina was probably their best gig although by the time that happened most of the band members were ripped each other's throats out. To me, the best gig they'll ever do is the one they'll do at Leeds this year and the reason being that it'll be the first time I've ever seen them in the 19 years I've been a fan of theirs. I've tried and failed in the past to get time off work, conflict with holidays, etc, to go and see them but no luck. This year nothing stands in the way of it and it's something I've been waiting a very, very long time for. I won't bother talking about their best live gigs because I've never been to any of those that have been mentioned.

BlurFan1994
I'm 16, I don't give a shit that Slash and others aren't in there. I respect them very much as musicians, but the only person who's irreplacable in a band is the singer... with Axl in there; this is still very much the GNR I know and love to me

rexclark
That's how I felt before watching them on their 2006(?) arena tour. But as others have commented despite what some people say, it just isn't the same, it's like some awful tribute band. As for that crazy stupid comment that Slash and co we're in the original band. I think somebody's trying to argue for arguing sake. I predict a whole bunch of people being disappointed, and a whole bunch of slagging of the booking after the festival. Dave The Hedgehog
I saw em on the 2006 tour and they were awesome. It's a different band but so what? The only instrument in that band that's irreplaceable is Axl's voice.
wheres the mudfight
Ok, suit yourself, brother. It's your choice. But in future if people refer to Guns N Roses gig at Leeds/Reading as one for the ages, a re-birth for a band, you'll either have to tell them that you were disappointed that you made the choice to see another band and weren't there, or lie and say how great it was when you saw it. farewellandgoodnight
I'll be seeing the first 30mins or so, so I can blag it if anyone asks. or just be liberal with the truth.
ska_4_life
No doubt I'll catch part of their set. I never been a GnR fan, but if they play one song I know during my migration of stages/bars, then I shall be happy Otherwise, I dont not like them because of thier original lineup, I just dont generally like them... does that make me better or worse than the other people who dislike them?
