Guys, what actually goes on on the Wednesday?

The only other time I have been we went on the Thursday. Looking for some thoughts as to what goes on / what there is to do.

And Bourbon St is open this year on Wednesday by the look of it

Wander around and explore the site, there's odd little bits of things going on here and there to stumble across - we found a Venezuelan Ska band playing on the Wednesday in 2008 and they were ace!

Arriving on the Wednesday gives you a day to soak up the atmosphere and take in just how enormous the site is. It's always one of the best days of the festival for me.

You know how it is on Friday? You know with the music and all that other stuff?

Well, subtract some of (but not all) the music, and that's what Wednesday and Thursday are like.

Tangible differences -- the Pyramid/Other fields are generally empty on Weds/Thurs, so other areas are more crowded. Last year, the Jazz Stage field was packed with people sitting around drinking all day Thursday -- since it has the Brothers Bar and a WBC bar.

Oh, and some of the cool craft stuff around site is under construction at that time.

Bourbon street on weds night full on acoustic blues and jazz sessions!! Plus football on the pyramid stage in the day.

I found it an excellent day to gaze in awe at many of the wonderful things there As soon as the music starts you don't really get a chance, so use it as an exploring day. It's excellent
