Travelling from Berkshire - how do I get to the west carpark?

Hey,

This is my top secret route. It's worked every year since 2003, avoids local road closures and gets one into the West car parks.

M3 to Basingstoke, then get on the A303.

Keep on this all the way to the intersection with A37 just past Wincanton.

Turn right onto A37 and then turn left onto B3153 to Keinton Mandeville.

At Keinton Mandeville, turn right onto backroads signposted Baltonsborough.

Through Baltonsborough to West Pennard. (small roads but well signposted)

Turn right here onto the A361 and this brings you neat and tidy into the West car parks.

Dont tell everyone.

Cheers, Tuska.

Its really quite easy to get to the west car park regardless of which direction you are coming from. Just use a map and plan your route. Simples.

Also follow the correct colour circles on the yellow signs once you start getting near to site. You usually need to follow Orange, red or white circles for west. I think green and blue are east indicators.

I travel from East Sussex and have never parked in east car parks.

Be careful..!!

If you approach Glasto from the wrong direction you will get chanelled into the nearest carpark. In my experience they dont let you circumnavigate to pick the carpark that suits you best.

You need to approach from the direction of the carpark you want to be in. I hate the east carparks, so living in London i need to duck under the festival and pop up on the west side.

Simples.
