Camping in the campervan field?

Hi

We're going to Glasto this year as a group of around 20 and for the 1st time have decided to give it a go in a campervan!! so we have hired a few however 2 of our group couldn't afford to so are going in a tent! I read on the Glasto website that you can park 1 car and have 1 tent pitched behind your campervan, so they have emailed them to check and all seems ok, I was just wondering IF they will be able to get into the campervan field as they are arriving later then us, so how will they be able to enter as obviously they don't have a campervan ticket?! We will need ours or our van i would assume?? fThey will be coming in their car aswell, so wondering how this will work? If anyone knows?

Hi

You can only take a car into the campervan fields if it is towing a caravan, all other cars will need to be parked in the normal car parks. They will however be able to pitch a tent behind one of the campervans. Only people in campervans can access the field on Tuesday night, anyone can gain entry from Wednesday at 8am.

GFL have yet to confirm the exact time the campervan fields open on Tuesday.

Hi Thanks for the reply!! Makes more sense now!!!! We are planning on arriving 1st thing Wednesday morning and there not setting off from home (Hull) till around 3 in the afternoon so no ideas what time they will arrive!!!

I now need to check they have a carpark ticket!!
