Closest gate for getting a taxi (or walking) to Shepton Mallet.

I'm mixing a bit of luxury (need access to fast broadband to manage my business via a laptop whilst at Glasto) and I'm therefore staying a couple of nights in a local B&B and the rest in a tent on site. I just wondered if somebody could advise on the best gate to leave the site from in order to either walk or take a taxi to Chelynch near Shepton Mallet (see map below, B is the B&B, A is Pilton - Glasto site somewhere nearby). In fact, does anybody also know the postcode of the Glasto site for Google walking directions?

Actually, looking at the thread below it appears that it would be best for me to go to Gate A and take the free buses to the drop-off point and then I can walk/taxi from there to the B&B. Can anybody confirm whether the drop off point will be the Royal Bath and West Showground‎? Thanks again

It has been stated as being B&W in most recent years ... but it doesn't actually say so this year in the info on the Official Website LINKY and it also says much the same in the Fine Guide as well.

The drop and collect point will be signposted as you approach the Festival. From there, a free 24 hour bus service will take you to the Festival bus station next to Gate A.

If you're being dropped off, always do it at the drop and collect point, to avoid walking miles or getting run over in the dark, and so that you know where to get picked up from.

Local roads will be closed on Monday for traffic leaving the Festival, so those picking you up will only have access to the drop and collect point (and not the main Festival site).

Thanks mikeb, I'll probably take a cab from the B&B on Thursday (sleeping on site Thursday & Sauturday night as B&B full those nights) and ask the cab driver as they will probably know the best place to drop me off. That way I can either wait for the shuttle from the drop-off area (last year apparently there were 5 hour queues there - eek!!) or simply walk. Thanks again.
