How much Cash to a take?

Around £200 for me and hopefully I'll bring some back.

We're taking booze and food so should be ok.

probably 500 or so, doubt I'll spend it all, but it's my big holiday of the year, so if I want to go a bit mental, splash a bit of cash on drinks for my mates, then I can do so.

my first glasto i took £60 total for food, entry and travel, I had one of the best weekends of my life, how times have changed!

about £200 - £300, don't take food but do take my nightly supply of alcohol.

In '95 I had £80 (giro) but on route spend £60 on slabs of beer and cider, so had £20 to last me, didn't eat for 3 days, got a load of reduced priced pies from a stall on the Monday morning and gorged on them.

Treated myself to the odd cold pint here and there.

Last year took two 10 packs beer,no spirits and a fair few pot noodles,crisps and biscuits,only drank about half the booze,used two pot noodles,all crisps and i spent £120 in total,all on food ( greenfields ) and booze,was with my daughter so a lot of the money went on the two of us. This year she coming again but her partner is coming as well. Not taking any beer this time,still taking some snacks and for 4 days i am thinking about the same.....mind you i will be taking about £350 with me, and i don't drink till i can't take any more,done all that in my youth

Im only taking 50 quid and plan to spend less than half, will more that stock up enough before hand!

Festivalling sure ain't cheap noawadys. When I first went to Glasto in 92 I took 30 quid and didn't run out. Nowadays I tend to break it down thus:

Booze beforehand (2 boxes of wine, 10 litres of cocktails, a slab of Red Stripe) - £100

200 fags - £65

Misc shite - £50

Drugs - £200

Spends - £200

What an odd way to spend that much cash.

I'm taking about £300, usually always come home with a few quid.

I usually bring £300 - not including my petrol money in that, or any pre festival buys - just money to spend on site.

Last year I only spent about £80 - somehow... not quite sure how.

But £60 a day feels plenty, really depends on how much food you will buy there and how much beer you need.

On sites meals about £7 and pints about £3.50 - so you do the math
