national express buses

Last year the police stopped the traffic on the A371 going towards the junction with the A37 from Castle Cary train station and from the Bath & West Showground to allow the shuttle buses to drive on the wrong side of the road and get to the site quicker

The knock on effect of this was massive queues in and around Shepton Mallet for everyone else.

At no time did I see any priority given to any National Express or Seetickets coaches, it would have been very difficult to do this because the whole of the A37 from Bristol to Shepton Mallet was queuing traffic, logistically it would also be a massive operation. As I said previously a NE coach was stuck behind me all the way from Bristol

Hey

As I'm a first timer, 2 quick questions:

I'm taking the 06:30 coach from London On wed, any estimation to when I'll get to the site?

& I need to be back in London at around 18:00-19:00 on Monday to catch a flight, will probably also get a coach, any recommendation to what time should I leave the site?

Many thanks

I've taken the Wednesday 9.30am National Express from Heathrow for three years

leaving Glasto at 1.30pm on Monday

and, will do the same this year

All outbound and inbound journeys have taken exactly three hours or less

2009 took almost four hours outbound, because we went via Reading to tell the people there that their bus would be late, and then we stopped at a service station .... the only time in six journeys that we made a stop
