Ticket Delivery Problem

I know this is the umpteenth ticket thread but please bear with me here as I’m starting to panic ever so slightly! I booked mine and my little sister’s tickets at the first resale and have received the email to tell me that they were dispatched on the 28th.

So far so good you all might say, however herein lies my dilemma. I work in Hull and live on my own which is a big enough problem by itself but due to this I’ve had to have the tickets delivered to my parents’ (and aforementioned sister’s) house up in Teesside.

I assumed all would be well with this arrangement as one of the ticket holders lives at this address. I have however have just been informed by my other sister that her tickets could only be signed for by the person named first on the order. This royally pisses on my chips as I’m over 100 miles away from the delivery address, have no photo id anyway to send through for them to use and even if I did it wouldn’t get there on time anyway.

Is there any chance that they will allow anybody else at the house to sign for the tickets for me as there is realistically no way I will be physically able to do it myself?

Organising a re-delivery isn't realistic either as I live in a city centre apartment building that even the local pizza shops refuse to deliver to as it’s a bastard to get in touch with anybody inside. Add this to the fact that I’ve taken all my holidays for Glastonbury already so am unable to take anymore on the off chance that I may get the correct day and they’ll catch me in and you can see I’m in quite a pickle. Oh and I also work on an industrial chemical site with no public access so delivery to the office is also a no no.

Please people can anybody offer me a few bright ideas or even the odd kind word as I’m a little stressed over the whole thing? I’ve never had any problems signing for my tickets before but I’m sure the same system hasn’t been in place in the past if memory serves.

You may be able to change the delivery address for re-delivery to somewhere more local to you - might not help get the tickets first time but you'd be able to collect from a depot closer to you.

I doubt it'll be a problem that you're not there though. The delivery guy with mine just asked - is that you? I'm quite sure they'll get left without an issue.

However, if they do refuse to deliver - they won't have been signed for. Check with See tickets what'll happen in that situation, they may be available to collect at the ticket office on site.

Yup - also check your email - states that ANYONE at the address can sign for the tickets. So you will be fine as long as someone is in.

Our delivery man didn't even ask for our names let alone any id!

The email you get on either the day or the day before they are actually going to deliver your tickets says

Great News - Your tickets for Glastonbury have been dispatched and will be delivered to you today by DX Secure. A signature will be required but anyone at your address can sign for them.

and also

Will I need to show any ID?

On the initial delivery to the original address, anyone can sign for your tickets. If the initial delivery is not successful, when you organise a redelivery you or anyone at your address will need to show ID to the Secure delivery agent, this can be a Passport, Government ID Card, Driving License, valid Debit or Credit card.

Can someone else sign for my tickets?

Absolutely, anyone at your original address can sign for the tickets on the initial delivery, or by producing your ID if you need to book a redelivery, ID requirements are a Passport, Government ID Card, Driving License, valid Debit or Credit card.

So fingers crossed everything should be fine!
