Tent pegs + flushing toilets

I didn't see any being given out last year, but got some the year before and they were RUBBISH! Basically they worry about metal pegs being left in the ground. Cows have a soft part in the bottom of thier feet and this can be hurt if they step on one. And makes a lot of work for the workers to try to collect them all.

There are flushing toilets up near the farm - have to ask to get through the security gate and explain where you are heading. At busy times might not let you. I was litter picking last year so was able to walk straight into that area, but to be honest never bothered - queues were always long, and were not much cleaner than long drops!

They gave out tent pegs back in 2008. They were crap (I think they were made from potatoes) - just bring your own. Count them when you peg your tent out and count them when you pack everything away. It's not that difficult!

They didn't give them out last year, and I assume they're not doing so this time round either.

The flushing toilets are up near the farm somewhere. I've never found them - and I'm quite happy with the longdrops anyway.

Cheers,

John.

What's this about being given biodegradable tent pegs at the entrance?

Also, where are the flushing toilets?

Thanks

if you are worried about using the toilets, don't be... the long drops tend to be the best, however, I tend to use a surgical face mask with some aromatherapy oil to block out any stinks... I look like a freak, but it makes using the facilities much more bearable (esp toward the end of the weekend!!)
