Arriving Friday

First time at Glastonbury.

Cant get there until Friday morning. What are the chances of finding a spot for the tent. Should I play safe and take the smallest tent possible? (I would like some room, and would like to take a 4 man tent for 2 of us, but dont think i will be able to find anywhere to pitch it!)

any advice?

I'd suggest using the West car parks. They are nearest to the best chance fields for late arrivals.

If the festival is really rammed, there is/was also an overflow camping area near that gate, reserved for emergency overspill (it was brought into play last year).

I to also have this fear as Im arriving on Fri. Tbh all my mates are gonna have been there since wednesday so really just need somewhere to crash and keep my bag nothing particularly central. But a car park doesn't sound that great?!

Ah, sorry, I could have worded that better!

I meant using the West car parks to park in, not to camp in! The gate on that side of the festival leads to the camping areas that are usually the last to fill up.
