Football Manager used to be amazing then they brought out the 3d pitch which was a very bad addition.

thing with football manager though is, there's no point in buying them in oct/nov cos they're riddled with bugs. so by the time they're all patched, it's about jan/feb and the seasons over half gone when the games properly playable.

least that's how i've found it in my experience.

it used to be good in 06. then they decided it would be better to take all fun out of the game and make it a bloody chore to play it. crap!

Anyway - I would like to almost agree with ampers - turn based RPGs are mostly shit. Sorry, but I never 'got' Final Fantasy.

I do like some RPGs though - Zelda

i've only played ocarina mind. which i didn't complete cos i couldn't even find my way into one of the foresty temple things
