Unpopular opinions? Hmmm. To go back to the original fellas point, i would agree wholeheartedly that the LOTR films are overblown, overlong piffle. I don't see how it took 3 movies filmed over 7 years lasting over 12 hours to tell such a straightforward tale. I actually fell asleep in the cinema watching the second one. Tripe. As for Star Wars, i never liked it when i was a kid and despite re-watching it several times i still can't escape the feeling that it is poorly written, poorly acted and quite staggeringly overrated. Hans Solo is cool though, obviously.

Beyond that, these spring to mind....

1. Oasis are the 2nd best band of all time. 8 number 1 singles, 7 number 1 albums, the biggest selling studio album in Britain since Sgt Peppers, Brit Award for best album of the last 30 years etc etc. The weight of circumstantial evidence to support my theory is overwhelming. There will be some who may shout "But i think Cooper Temple Clause are the best band ever!" or "Surely you cant deny the genius of Elastica!" or "Pete Doherty is up there with Lennon man!". These people, and other non believers, are insane.

2. The Exorcist is about as scary as Carry On Up The Khyber. "The power of Christ compels you!". Please.

3. Bob Dylan is the most overrrated musician ever. Now, he has clearly written a fistful of classics which is lovely but there is only so much of his horrendous whiny voice that any person with a fully functioning pair of ears can take. Too many songs sound like the previous guitar-harmonica-folky drone. His lyrics are an irrelevance when sang badly over a dreary tune. He doesn't allow his songs to breathe either-too many are swamped with 50 verses where 3 or 4 would do. Just not my cup of tea at all. (Sorry Sifi.)

That wiil do for now. I'm watching Stoke vs West Ham.
